I approach therapy as an active and collaborative process that supports you to connect with your desires. With a commitment to anti-carceral practices and liberatory struggles, I attune to the connections between what is personally felt and what is collectively shared.
My practice is psychodynamic. This means I’m interested in conscious and unconscious life, in language (verbal and embodied), and in your day-to-day experiences as well as your history and fantasies. My practice is also integrative: I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities in ways that respond to you and to our work together. I find that this approach facilitates a deep exploration of freedom, power, conflict, connectedness, and play.
I work with adults and adolescents, and I also offer relationship, family, and group therapy. I have extensive experience working with people who are trans, intersex, nonbinary, queer, sex workers, artists, organizers, immigrants, systems-impacted, and people who move between multiple cultures. In addition to psychodynamic psychotherapy and community mental health, I have trained in and practiced engaged pedagogy, visual art, and organizing.
Please contact me to ask about fees and scheduling in-person or remote sessions. We can set up a consultation to talk about the possibility of working together.
